Important Notice: Port Conditions - Split Location Charges for Container Return

EFFECTIVE AS OF APRIL 1, 2015

In light of the current port conditions and continued volatility driven by regulations and diverted port procedures, we want to provide you with an update on how this may impact your loads you hold with us.

We are writing to provide you with advance notice that we may charge you a Split Location Charge of $79.00 after April 1, 2015. Should we do so, you will be notified at that time ahead of a charge being applied to your account(s).

Under the current two-year construction going on with the Bayonne Bridge, vessels due to height are now being redirected to dock at a new location. Therefore, loade and empty containers are being picked up and returned to two separate locations. This process is causing major delays in picking up loaded containers and returning empties, in an already taxed and slow process.

Before a driver was able to pick up a load container and return the empty contaienr to its steamship line. Now with the current changes, an empty is being returned to the terminal of their choice.

Please note TMX Intermodal LLC has decided not to apply a charge on balances prior to this date. If you have any further questions, please contact one of our dispatch representatives.
